Brand Philosophy

“A new fresh insight into the traditional Japanese kimono.” “Statement Luxurious pieces. Night kimonos.”

A brand of kimonos inspired by Japanese culture, according to the ancestral traditions perpetuated by geishas and their art. The Gōkana Brand brings to the present, a new reinterpretation of this piece.

The kimono was a garment originally associated with geishas and a woman who was devoted to entertainment, seduction and live to provide pleasure. Well, this new approach intends to subvert all these premises through the reinterpretation of this piece at all levels, both regard to the design of the piece (cut, patterns and fabrics) as well as the target audience and the purpose of the piece as clothing. By all means, we intend to claim the pleasure back to ourselves.

More than a clothing brand, Gōkana Kimonos promotes a philosophy of life based on the pursuit of Pleasure. The brand intends to assert itself as synonymous with hedonism devoid of any sense of modesty or shame. Gōkana inspiration comes from Japanese clothing tradition, and extols self-pleasure through luxury fashion and the emancipation of women.

Unique pieces. Limited Editions. Kimonos originally designed to be worn at night, as a single or complementary piece, but always as a statement piece.
